FAQS

We require Distemper, Bordetella, Rabies and a Negative Fecal exam within one year*

*many viruses and parasites can be transmitted between dogs just from drinking the same water. This is why we require a fecal, to maintain a safe facility.

MY DOG HAS ANXIETY, WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

It is common for an anxious dog to scrape their nose on doors or kennels, chew and destroy property, and scratch at doors and walls until they bleed.  Other than removing your dog from the kennel there is not too many solutions to this unfortunately

FAQ: FAQ

IS THERE SOMEONE THERE 24/7?

We are not a 24 hour facility, however we will sleep on site by request.  and we also have a fully video monitored building that we monitor from home.

DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT TO COME SEE THE FACILITY?

We have an open door for anyone to come at any time; however, making an appointment ensures that we have the necessary staff available to answer your questions and no other tours during the time you are there. Since meeting with a new customer takes the staff away from other duties, we try to be prepared to have additional staff to take over during tours.

MY PET HAS A SPECIAL DIET. CAN THEIR NEEDS BE ACCOMMODATED?

Yes, not only can we accommodate a special diet but we can administer medication and injections as well. We have a full kitchen for making all accommodations for special meals.

HOW CAN I CHECK ON MY PET DURING THEIR STAY?

We update daily on our Facebook page with videos and pictures but feel free to call, or message us on Facebook, and check in anytime, or even stop in to see your dog.

WHAT VACCINATIONS ARE REQUIRED?

WHAT METHOD DO YOU USE FOR DOG TRAINING?

Here at WYD we  believe that all dogs learn differently and some dogs will respond to positive reinforcement while others will not.  We do NOT believe  training should be purely treat based, since that is your dog having you trained to have a treat or he will not listen.  We combine several different methods to get your dog to listen to your commands and display proper behaviors.
